What Cancer Cannot Do Cancer is so limited . It cannot cripple love, It cannot shatter hope, It cannot corrode faith, It cannot destroy peace, It cannot kill friendship, It cannot invade the soul, It cannot silence courage, It cannot steal eternal life, It cannot suppress memories, It cannot conquer the Spirit.

Anne and I have been good friends and neighbors for over a decade. We started our website as a fundraising tool in 2005 when I was raising money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation as a part of my competition in the Hawaii Ironman. Raising close to $14,000, we were amazed by the outpouring of support from our friends, family, and community. It is incredible what we can do together.
Breast cancer is very personal to us. Anne was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 2003. She had a reoccurrence showing metastatic breast cancer in November of 2004. Her cancer is treated like a chronic disease and she will always be undergoing some form of treatment. She has found a way to live positively with her diagnosis. My mother, Jan, and my sister, Lori, have faced and survived breast cancer. My husband's sister, Rosita, recently lost her battle with breast cancer. She fought her battle valiantly and we miss her every day. We are more committed and determined than ever to end breast cancer in our lifetime.
Our goal as friends is to make a difference in the lives of women who are facing the diagnosis of breast cancer at any stage. We want to be a part of the cure by raising money for research, screening, and education. Breast cancer is now a mostly curable disease. We expect it to be a completely curable disease in our lifetime.
If you have been diagnosed we want you to know that you are not alone and we hope you will find the information on our site to be helpful.
